How can voice technology take us “Back To The Future” ?
Well, right now, we are experiencing the infancy of voice technology .
Mostly just commanding our voice activated devices to execute simple tasks, like setting alarms, playing music or asking for the latest news and sports scores.
In reality, this is just the beginning of what’s possible, we are heading towards a voice activated future not unlike that seen in the Back To The Future movies.
Machine learning is the foundation of voice technology, and what we’re seeing more and more is Artificial Intelligence getting smarter as we feed it more voice data.
The number of voice-enabled devices in use is soaring — sales of smart speakers increased by 70% between 2018 and 2019 with an estimated 200 million units sold worldwide — flooding computers with more voice data to learn from.

These statistics don’t count the estimated 3.8 billion smartphone users talking to Siri and Google Assistant.
Machines are growing much smarter, much faster.
Amazon and Google may soon take machines’ conversational skills to a deeper level.

Both companies have filed patents for technology to read emotions in people’s voices…. which means that the directed adverts will relate to how your mood SOUNDS.
For example…
“You sound hungry — you should order a pizza?” or, “you Sound a little sad why not play some happy music?”
How futuristic is that, Doc Brown and Marty would be proud.
